Sustainable
Suburbs is collaborative
effort by councils and businesses to assist residents in the western suburbs to
take action to improve household energy, water and waste efficiency.
Maribyrnong
City Council is the Lead Council and is acting on behalf of Moonee Valley,
Brimbank, Melton Wyndham, Moorabool and Hobson’s Bay City Councils.
Overall it
is aimed to reduce regional emissions to zero by 2020.
By contacting Mojarra they can offer:
1. Free Green Loan and energy and water efficiency assessment.
2. Undertaking retrofit activities;

- Solar
hot water (or heat pump) systems
- 600L-4000L+
water tanks
- Home Retrofit Kit: Light
globe and showerhead exchanges, Weather sealing products
- Ceiling
insulation
There are currently substantial rebates available for many of the products listed above.
